Overview: Supporting children who have experienced trauma is difficult work. Added to the complexity of treatment is the assessment of progress, especially in young children or when the trauma is challenging to articulate.

Join us for an accessible approach to assessing treatment progress in children who have experienced trauma. The discussion will include typical delays from trauma, at various ages.

Participants: This program is designed for professionals in the fields of behavior health, education, and more.  This course will enhance the knowledge of attendees by providing additional assessment skills in the treatment of children who have experienced trauma, and by providing a supportive environment to collaborate with other professionals to enhance their knowledge.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will be able to explain two ways that trauma delays development in children
  • Attendees will be able to list one major developmental milestone for specific age groups
  • Attendees will better understand how trauma affects behaviors displayed by children, and be able to describe two ways this can be observed
