About Us

Who We Are

We are mental health experts, and we are also compassionate and caring.
The idea of connection informs how we do therapy. We believe great therapy involves a relatedness between us, unique in each relationship.

Where education and care unite.

We provide services in rural areas because we want to be sure that exceptional mental healthcare is accessible to all Kansans. Rural areas in Kansas have significant shortages of health providers, and we aim to change that experience. We are proud to be part of the communities we serve.

We provide:

  • Individual counseling services
  • Select assessments

Our Founder

Brenda Murrow, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist who has experience in supporting patients in infancy to adults age 90+, with presenting concerns of trauma, abuse, attachment disruptions, and other emotional needs. She has worked in a variety of environments including as a Reiss-Davis Fellow in Los Angeles, and now serving rural communities in Kansas in private practice. She enjoys traditional in-office therapy settings as well as partnering with equines and canines in animal-assisted therapies.

Dr. Murrow seeks to contribute to the field of psychology both by teaching and through the research of assessment and treatment methods.  She is a core faculty member and Research Coordinator in the Clinical Psychology department at Pacifica Graduate Institute and shares psychological concepts in an accessible way through the Connection Therapy podcast.

Read an interview about her how work is developing that she presented at Pacifica Graduate Institute’s Journey Week Conference.

Brenda also enjoys collaborating with PATH, Intl.  to explore how the shared physiology between horses and humans impacts Equine Assisted Services.  She has been honored to speak at the PATH, Intl Region 11, and to provide PATH with a free webinar for members.

She will also be presenting with students at the PATH, Intl conference in Colorado this November
